Happy first day of summer. I saw the coolest thing sitting on the dock watching the sun set on Sunday night. A huge dragon fly was about to land on a piece of seaweed when a bass jumped out of the water and snatched it out of the air. I know, I am easily entertained.
Big week this week, Country USA and Darboy Chicken Fest. I will be cooking at Chicken Fest on Thursday and Friday nights and all day Saturday. Great Fireworks on Friday. Parade and lots of activities Saturday. Bands everyday.
Speaking of Bands, Ryan that works for me is one of 20 Wisconsin Hip Hop artists featured on a CD that benefits the people of Haiti. The CD is called Don't turn you backs on us and is available for $10, cash only, at Niemuth's. The proceeds go to www.care.org. Ryan said some songs may contain harsh language. Ryan also does shows around the area and has flyers available for future events.
Fresh seafood for Tuesday will be Mussels and Mahi Mahi.
Fresh seafood for Wednesday noon delivery will be Halibut Cheeks.
Fresh Seafood for Thursday will be Atlantic Grouper, Door county Whitefish and scallops.
Fresh Seafood for Friday will be Red Snapper, Halibut, 1st of the summer Alaska Coho salmon and Mako Shark.
Brat flavors will be Tomato basil Parmesan chicken brats, bourbon onion and plain.
