Happy first day of summer. I saw the coolest thing sitting on the dock watching the sun set on Sunday night. A huge dragon fly was about to land on a piece of seaweed when a bass jumped out of the water and snatched it out of the air. I know, I am easily entertained.

Big week this week, Country USA and Darboy Chicken Fest. I will be cooking at Chicken Fest on Thursday and Friday nights and all day Saturday. Great Fireworks on Friday. Parade and lots of activities Saturday. Bands everyday.

Speaking of Bands, Ryan that works for me is one of 20 Wisconsin Hip Hop artists featured on a CD that benefits the people of Haiti. The CD is called Don't turn you backs on us and is available for $10, cash only, at Niemuth's. The proceeds go to www.care.org. Ryan said some songs may contain harsh language. Ryan also does shows around the area and has flyers available for future events.

Happy Father's Day next Sunday. Canada was great this year. Ate fish every day, boated over 40 per day 2 days. Fishing should be good for the next couple years. We caught a lot of little ones (8 inch and 22 inch) besides the ones we could keep. Only one big one, 27 inches, kinda disapointing there.

So, the boys are in Canada this week and you're left with me. Talked to Richard this afternoon. He said the fish were jumping in the boat . Had 22 walleye this morning. Nephew John wasn't as fortunate, they gave him credit for two. Richard also said the weather was bluebird beautiful (that's nice for us normal people). He's enjoying himself. They are worried about our baby Carter and whether he's going to miss Daddy and Papa.... no male bonding this week. (He's fine and giggles for his Nana!)
